My dad has dementia, the frontal temporal type. Doctors said he probably had this for a long time but we just didn’t notice. He is become increasingly violent, he hits, he kicks, he throws things. I am scared because nothing I do helps, will this go away? I have already called the police three times. I want to keep him at home but I am tired of always throwing pills into the equation. I believe in natural medicine and was curious if anyone here has tried medical marijuana with their loved one who has dementia? Does it help? What form did you use? I am thinking of implementing edibles into our regimen as I don’t think I could get my dad to smoke something he doesn’t want to. I know this is a taboo topic, but any suggestions would help.

I have not used this but have done quite a bit of research and think that there is evidence that it can help. I would absolutely investigate it.

There is growing evidence that cannabis can be helpful in validated studies. Here is one you can refer to. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32600509/
